Glendale, California, has been my home for my entire life. I've grown up here, learned from the local public school system, and it's here where I've built my life and career.”
Dr. Alex Balekian has devoted his entire career to public service, but he never thought of it as public service. As a self-proclaimed nerd who loves solving word problems, he believes that helping people through medicine is his role in life. Much like the average Glendale resident, he delegated city governance to those whom he assumed would have the best interests of Glendale as top of mind.
But we were all mistaken…
I, Alex Balekian MD, a proud son of Glendale, do hereby offer this pledge to my neighbors:
to focus on public safety, including (a) bolstering police presence to crack down on speeding drivers and burglaries and (b) minimizing emergency response times
to ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure, including cheaper electricity and garbage rates
to combat dense housing developments by resisting government overreach by Sacramento politicians and preserving the quality and characteristics of our neighborhoods
to foster entrepreneurship by decreasing onerous regulations for small businesses
I want to volunteer.

hosting a meet & greet to introduce Alex to your friends and neighbors
